“I grew up on these sandwiches in Toronto” Dave says “they’re very hearty, they’re a two-handed sandwich” he adds and smiles.

So with Ratpack music crooning in the background and the restaurant itself decorated in a warm Mediterranean theme with frescos and embellishments handpainted on the cappuccino coloured walls, this little Italian jewel on Simcoe keeps its customers coming back for more.

“The great thing ”, says Julie, “is you get quality food, cooked for you when you order it - no microwaves or heatlamps....just wholesome cooking that you can pick up and take home to enjoy with a nice glass of wine or to dine in and enjoy the music and a nice cappuccino.”

Unable to get the perfect veal sandwich outside of their native Toronto, Julie and Dave decided to open a restaurant of their own!
